Less is more

Lent is traditionally a time of conscious renunciation in order to return to values and virtues. Even non-religious people can use this time to leave their comfort zone and try something new. That is why we would like to challenge you with this challenge on the topic of renouncing consumption until the beginning of April.

Good resolutions: Our Food Challenge

You are, what you eat

View Challenge

We eat every day. Many delicious things. Bad food gets on our stomachs, delicious food puts us in a high mood. And actually we always like to talk about it, about our food. But our food is also closely linked to environmental pollution, climate change, species extinction, animal cruelty and unfair working conditions. Good food is therefore more than just a matter of taste. We can stand up for fair, ecological, appreciative and solidarity-based agriculture at the dinner table - and not just with words. Join us in the "Food Challenge" for 4 - 8 weeks and take up the challenge. What is good food? How regional can it be? Does everything have to be packaged? Is soy only for cows?

Join in - isn't January 2021 just the right time to make a difference? We would be happy to have you on board!

An interview of the Climate Bet with the philosopher Prof. Bernward Gesang

The individual can do a lot to save CO2. But what should we do? And when have we done "enough" personally? The philosopher Prof. Bernward Gesang comes to a conclusion that may be surprising for many: We should primarily donate. About 4% of our income and 1% of our time. Because donations are the most effective measure that individuals can contribute to climate protection. We took a closer look and talked to the philosopher, who teaches at the University of Mannheim, about his latest book, "Mit kühlem Kopf: Über den Nutzen der Philosophie für die Klimadebatte.

Our Minimalism Challenge: Interview with Max Green

Minimalism can be thought of and designed in different ways. There is no wrong or right, it just has to feel good. Max Green agrees, and he should know: Because the way that feels right for him and his family is to live in a Tiny House. Sounds crazy? It's not, at least not when Max explains it to you.

Advancing the energy transition with solar energy - In conversation with SolarBlick

The energy turnaround is a particularly important piece of the puzzle on the way to effective climate protection. The goal is therefore to drive forward the expansion of renewable energies. The sun has such great potential and the costs of photovoltaics are now so low that we wonder why the hurdles to expansion are so high. We spoke with SolarBlick to find out what drives them and how they are shaping the participation of solar power expansion.

We had the chance to talk to Laura, who is responsible for communication and marketing at the German Marktschwärmer. Our conversation focused on the topics of climate protection, trust and the shift in the food system!
